Letter of Administration

A Letter of Administration is a legal document issued by a probate court that grants someone the authority to manage and distribute the estate of a person who died intestate (without a will). This person, the administrator, is responsible for handling the deceased person’s estate affairs, including paying off debts and distributing assets to the rightful heirs according to the laws of intestacy.
